Fit for Life Diet
Based on a book jointly written by husband and wife team of Harvey and Marilyn
Diamond. In this diet program the main emphasis is not on the quantity of food
consumed but how it is consumed. Foods have to be eaten in specific combinations
and at specific times. Combination of proteins and starch, vegetables and carbohydrates
must be avoided.
The theory behind the diet is that indifferent mixing of foods causes indigestion
resulting in obesity and other health related problems. A major portion of the
diet should consist of fruits and vegetables but they need to be consumed separately.
Dairy and meat products are allowed but only in restricted amounts.
