Hacker's Diet
This diet program is based on a book "Hacker's Diet" written by John
Walker, an engineer. It might sound a bit strange since John Walker has received
no medical or nutritional training in his entire life and has designed this diet
plan based on his own personal experience.
The diet is all about managing weight with emphasis on "food quantity"
rather than "food quality". According to Walker, weight loss can be
achieved only by consuming lesser calories. This diet plan does not recommend
or restrict any particular food items and simply advises to eat less. Dieters
are required to keep an accurate account on calories consumed and their weight.
The idea is to keep the number of calories consumed less than the number of
calories burned.
