This diet is based on a book jointly written by William L. Wolcott and Trish Fahey
in the year 1999. According to the authors, all individuals are metabolically
unique and need a diet program that has been specifically designed for each of
them. Individuals have different nutritional requirements and the authors have
provided a simple 65 questions self test to determine which type of diet is best
suited for each i.e. protein type, carbohydrate type or mixed type.
Protein type:
For this type the diet should consist of 40% proteins, 30% fats and 30% carbohydrates.
Carbohydrate type:
Here the meals should consist of 60% carbohydrates, 25% proteins and 15% fats.
Mixed type:
A mixed type diet consists of 50% carbohydrates, 30% proteins and 20% fats.
