Muslim Diet
A predominantly non-vegetarian diet plan that is mostly followed by Muslims
and is based on the teachings of the "Holy Koran" (Holy book of the
Islamic religion). According to the Islamic Law all foods are divided into two
categories 1) Halal (permissible or lawful) 2) Haram (forbidden or unlawful).
Permissible foods include goats, sheep, camels, poultry, cattle, fish, rabbits,
domestic birds etc. All the above mentioned animals and birds need to be slaughtered
in a specific way to render them as Halal. Consumption of alcohol, pork, meat
of carnivorous animals and birds is strictly forbidden in the Muslim diet.
