No-Grain Diet
Dr. Joseph Mercola is an osteopathic physician who through his bestselling
book "The No-Grain Diet" has launched this weight loss program. "No-grain
diet" recommends a diet that eliminates or severely restricts the intake
of grains, starch and sugar as they are considered responsible for various health
problems like obesity, diabetes, cancer etc.
The book has a health quiz to help its readers choose from three different
variations of the diet plan depending upon their individual body requirements.
Dr. Mercola lays emphasis on the use of raw organic vegetables, meat, eggs,
certain fruits and oils like coconut and olive oil. The book also discusses
a psychological technique (Emotional freedom technique) to help people get rid
of carbohydrate craving or grain addiction.
