The Diet of the British Slimming World Company
"Slimming World" is a British company founded in 1969 by Margaret Miles-Bramwell.
The company operates a chain of weight loss classes all over United Kingdom. People
who want to lose weight through this diet program have to join these classes and
pay a certain weekly charge.
The diet plan called "food optimizing" consists of a calorie restricted
diet and classifies each day as a "red" or a "green" day.
Foods allowed on a red day include fruits, vegetables, whit fish, lean meats
and eggs. Green day foods include fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, pasta and
eggs. Members are also allowed to consume small portions of high calorie foods
called "healthy extras" that are rich in vitamins, minerals and fibers.
